The Sky’s The Limit for Modular Extensions
Government are set to change planning Policy on building upwards on existing buildings. The answer to building new homes, could be a more creative and effective use of space, versus building on empty plots, or development on a derelict site. Green-lit examples would be where an additional two levels could be added to a property, provided it was in keeping with the area and preservation of listed buildings and conservation. This new generation of rooftop townhouses and offices, will be manufactured using modular construction. The Policy change will make it easier to build on existing flats, houses, shops and offices in cities, to help ease pressure on valuable open spaces, and to help growing families.
