A Government report into the building sector by industry veteran Mark Farmer, summarised that, it must ‘modernise or die,’ because of severe shortages in work-force. The Government goal of 300,000 new homes built a year in the next decade, has fallen short in recent years, but many industry professionals believe that modular building techniques could help save the day, and speed up the process, whilst also removing issues faced by a receding workforce.
